What we do with
what you send us.

The quote form asks for your name, your phone number, the district you live in and photographs of your home. That is a real amount of trust, so this page says plainly what happens to all of it — in the same language as the rest of the site, not in the language of a terms-and-conditions page nobody reads.

What we collect, and why

Almost everything we hold about you is something you typed into the quote form yourself. We don't buy lists, and we don't collect anything about you when you simply read the site.

Optional. Only used to discuss your enquiry if calling is easier than writing.

If you call, WhatsApp or email instead

We hold whatever you send in that message, in the ordinary way that any business holds its correspondence. Those services are run by their own companies under their own privacy policies, not ours.

What we don't collect

There is no advertising pixel, no tracking cookie and no profile of you on this site. We don't follow you around the internet, and we have never sold or rented anyone's details to anybody.

We do count visits, using a service called Umami. It records which pages were opened and which buttons were pressed — a WhatsApp tap, a call, a submitted quote — and nothing that identifies you. It sets no cookie, stores nothing on your device, and cannot follow you to another website. We use it to learn which of Avinash's gates people actually look at, which is a question about the gates and not about you.

Your photographs, specifically

Photographs of an opening are usually photographs of somebody's home, sometimes with the house, the street or the family visible in them. We treat them accordingly.

  • They are used only to quote, design and build your job.
  • We do not publish a photograph you sent us — on this site, on Instagram, on TikTok, or anywhere else — unless you have given us permission for that specific use.
  • Where we do show finished work with permission, pieces are identified by a reference code only. Client surnames are stripped from filenames, captions and image descriptions.
  • If you'd rather your finished gate never appeared anywhere publicly, tell us. That's a normal thing to ask and it costs you nothing.

Where it is stored, and who else sees it

Your enquiry passes through a small number of services. Each one is named here so nothing about the route is a surprise.

Netlify
Hosts this website and receives the quote form. Your submission — including any photographs — is stored in the Netlify Forms dashboard for the site, which only Avinash has access to. Netlify is a US company and the data is held on its servers.
Resend
Sends the confirmation email that gives you a copy of your own enquiry with a reference number. It handles the contents of that email in order to deliver it.
Email
A copy of your enquiry arrives in Avinash's business inbox, where it stays as the working record of the job.
Umami
Receives the anonymous page-and-button counts described above. No personal detail is sent to it and nothing from your enquiry passes through it.

The site's two typefaces are served from this site itself. They used to be fetched from Google's servers, which exposed your IP address to Google on every page load; that is no longer the case, and Google is no longer involved in your visit at all.

Links out to WhatsApp, Instagram and TikTok take you to those companies' own services, which is where their own policies take over.

Nobody else sees your enquiry. Nair Smart Solutions is a one-person business: the person reading it is the person who will quote and build the job.

What is stored in your own browser

The site sets no cookies. One thing is kept locally on your own device, and it is never sent to us:

  • An unfinished quote form. While you're filling in the form, what you've typed is saved in your browser's session storage so that switching apps or taking a call doesn't lose your work. It never includes your photographs, it is deleted the moment your enquiry sends successfully, and it disappears on its own when you close the tab. It stays on your device throughout.

Clearing your browsing data removes it.

How long we keep it

Custom fabrication runs on what was specified, and a written record of that protects both sides — a customer can quote a reference number months later and we can answer it. So an enquiry is kept for as long as we're dealing with it, and a completed job's record is kept afterwards as part of our ordinary business records.

Enquiries that never turn into a job are not kept indefinitely. If yours went nowhere and you'd rather it wasn't sitting in a dashboard, ask us and we'll remove it.

PLACEHOLDER — to be confirmed: a specific retention period for enquiries that don't become jobs (for example, deleted after 24 months) makes this section stronger than the wording above. Agree one with Avinash, state it plainly here, and delete this paragraph.

Asking to see it, correct it or delete it

You can ask us at any time to:

  • tell you what we hold about you;
  • correct anything that's wrong;
  • delete your enquiry, your photographs, or both.

Email nairsmartsolutionstt@gmail.com or call 769-1035 and say so — you don't need a particular form of words, and you don't need to give a reason. We'll confirm when it's done.

Where a job has actually been carried out, we may need to keep the basic commercial record of it. We'll tell you if that applies to your request rather than quietly leaving part of it undone.

The form asks you to tick a box confirming you're happy for us to contact you about your enquiry and to receive a copy of it by email. That tick covers exactly those two things and nothing else.

It is not a marketing subscription. We don't run a mailing list, and ticking it does not put you on one.

Changes to this page

If what we do with your information changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top is updated. There is no version of that which involves us doing something new with your details and not saying so here.
